Richard Stone

WILLIAM NICHOLSON STONE, is the only son of Richard Stone Grazier of the "Wilderness" Mila and was born at Moss Vale in 1862. He was educated at Bowral, followed a pastoral life at Monaro, and later on selected and purchased 1100 acres to the South-west of Bombala, near Mila, which he has stocked with horses, cattle and sheep. For a number of years he has been engaged in stock dealing between the principal markets of New South Wales and Victoria and previous to taking to this business, was for some time, Manager of Rosemeath and Tubbutt estates, belonging to L.J.
Harnett, Sergeant-at-arms . in the Legislative assembly.He was also connected with the fur trade for the firms of G.W. Crommellian and Co. and W.R. Newton and Co. and in that line exported large parcels to the British and Continental Markets.
