| Euphemia Mary Brasington (Effie) | The photo (above
supplied by Bruce Stubbs) published in the September 2011 newsletter bears a
striking resemblance to my grandfather's sister, Ephemia Mary Strachan nee
Brasington (1896-1920). Effie, as she was known in the family, was the
daughter of George Edmund Phillip Brasington, my great grandfather, who was
living in Auburn when Effie had her first child in 1915. George Edmund
Phillip Brasington's brother was William Francis Brasington, the father of
Ruth Miriam Brasington. Effie had a total of 3 children and died in 1920 due
to an incidence of negligence in hospital. The only photo I have of her is
of poor quality (left), being an enlargement of a small photo on a funerary
