1915, Formerly Mr. 0. Nicholls,
Mr. F. Feakes. licensed plumber, of Commissioner Street, Cooma, purchased the
business eleven years ago from Mr. 0. Nicholls, who was in a very small way, and
built it up to its present dimensions. Mr. Feakes, who specialises in septic
tanks and sewerage disposal, was originally foreman for the firm of N. W.
Trevaskis, Lane Cove Road, North Sydney, and was for fourteen years the leading
hand at Canberra, where he built the first tank and arranged the sanitary system
in Federal Territory, an epoch in history.
