Thomas Cogan

May 30 1921- “Monaro Mercury” records death of Thomas Cogan of Boloco. He was kicked when shoeing a horse and was taken to Sydney with a broken leg. Dr. Maitland at Jenner Hospital attended him but he died under the anesthetic. Remains brought back to Boloco for burial. He was born on his holding, which he inherited from his father, the late David Cogan, Leaves a widow (nee Christina Quarry), 6 children aged 7 to 24 years---David, Duncan , Osbert, and Louis Cogan, and Florence and Catherine Cogan. He was a breeder of good stock- blood and draught horses. Rev. Father McGee conducted the burial service, Charles Willis , undertaker.
