Death of Mrs Gilbert

Mrs. James Gilbert, of Rhine Falls died on Wednesday afternoon last, at Monaro Private Hospital, after an illness of about 12 days, although suffering for a considerable time. The immediate cause of death was bronchitis.

She had reached the ripe old age of 70 years. She came to Cooma to stay awhile with her daughter, Mrs. Harry Moore, at whose place Dr. Harrison attended her every day. Fathers Norris and Rafferty were also in attendance, The deceased lady, leaves behind her to mourn their loss, a loving husband, two sons (Messrs A.& P Gilbert) and four daughters (Mesdames Kerwan, Tumut; Rootsey, Moruya; G.M. Moore, Cooma; and Miss Lizzie Gilbert). She was of a kind and cheerful disposition will be missed by her many friends. The remains were interred in the R.C. Section of the Mittagang Cemetery, Rev. Father Norris reading the burial service.
