Robert William Mason
Coolringdon 1860

Robert William Mason a Seaman, of Coolringdon, was born at Rusha Bucto, Nova Scotia; at age 33 years he married Hannah Moss on 19th March 1860 at Christ Church, Cooma. Robert was born in Nova Scotia his parents were George Mason (Seaman) and Harriett De La Touché
Hannah was born London England. She was a spinster of 18 years of age (the consent of John Moss for the marriage), lived at Coolringdon, her parents were John Moss (Cook) and Maria Hurley. Witnesses to the marriage were John Moss and Mary Ann Windle.

A son, Marcus Ernesto was born at Gunguanndra, Bredbo on the 2nd August 1862. At that time Robert was described as a labourer at Bredbo. 

Young Marcus died on the 28 the January 1865 at Billylingra the cause being Scarletina Malignus - 26 hours no medical attendant. He was buried 28 Jan 1865 at Billylingra. Undertaker John McNamarra. Witness James Venables.
