Death Notice Cooma Express 21 Jan 1920

Mr. Andrew McMahon

The Death occurred on Sunday, of Mr. Andrew McMahon, an old resident of Berridale, at the age of 70 years, after a lingering illness. The deceased was a son of Mr. James McMahon, a grazier and was born at Ironmungie. He leaves a grown up family consisting of Mr. William McMahon of Berridale; Mesdames J.Woodhouse, Ingebiriah; E. Eustace Berridale; J Pendergast Moonbah; and B Hawkins Cooma. The funeral took place at the Gegedzerick Cemetery on Tuesday last and was largely attended by residents of the surrounding areas. The very Rev.Dean Norris P.P. officiated , the funeral arrangements being carried out by Mr. C. Willis

Annie McMahon
Jan 1924 , “Monaro Mercury” records death of Annie McMahon , relict of the late Andrew McMahon of Berridale , aged 70 . Born in Meath , Ireland , she arrived in Australia with her parents at the age of 2 , and settled with them at Woolway , and later at Dutton Plain , where she spent most of her life . Lived the last 14 years at Berridale . She leaves 4 daughters – Mrs. James Woodhouse of Ingebyra , Mrs. Eli Eustace of Berridale , Mrs . James Pendergast of Moonbah , and Mrs. Herbert Hawkins of Cooma , and brothers James , William , and Thomas of Cooma , Richard of Coolringdon , and sisters Mesdames M . Murray and M. Casey of Cooma , G. Shiels of Woollongong , P. Murphy of Penrith . Dean Norris officiated at the burial . transcribed by Gwen Hubert from the Perkins Papers .
