Descendants Report

JOHN McMANUS, in the forties, was in the employ of William Bradley as shepherd. He established a home near the old Grange, where today some of his descendants still reside. He took advantage of the 1861 Act to select portion of the Dangelong Run, four miles from Cooma, and built up a comfortable holding. He and his wife died in 1882. A son, Mr. Thomas McManus, figures largely in Cooma's public life, and is a member of the "Back to Cooma" Executive Committee.
