Patrick Mullane c1869, Eden (Last changed Friday June 22, 2012) The Monaro Mercury 29 June 1917 Mrs. S. Mullane The death occured on Monday, shortly before midnight; of Mrs Sarah Mullane. relict of the Late Patrick Mullane, an old resident of Cooma, at the age of 68 years. The deceased who was widely known and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends and acquaintances was apparently in her usual health on Sunday last; and on Monday morning was on the way to attend St.Patrick’s Church where a mass was being celebrated for her brother Mr. Stephen Fahey whose death occured on the previous Tuesday. Near the church Mrs. Mullane was taken ill and was conveyed home in a collapsed condition; she did not rally and succumbed to an attack of cerebral haemorrhage and paralysis. The remains were conveyed to St.Patrick’s Church on Wednesday afternoon, a mass having been celebrated that morning by the very Rev. J.J. Norris P.P. V.F. The funeral took place at the Mittagng cemetery; the grave being beside that of her late husband. The hearse was followed by representatives of the Hiberian and Oddfellows Societies and a large number of mourners in vehicles and on foot. The funeral service was conducted by The very Rev. Father Norris and assisted by Father Lynch. The deceased lady was a prominent worker at functions connected to the church to which she belonged, and her kindly and amiable disposition gained her numerous friends in all parts of the district. She was the daughter of Mr. Timothy Fahey, and was born at Nimmo Station, and was married at Goulburn. Her Husband Mr. Patrick Mullane was formerly licensee of the Pine Valley Hotel, and for a number of years conducted The Australian Hotel Cooma. Mrs. Mullane
