O'Neil Family

Floris Magdalene O’Neill  (1910-1999)

            Floris O’Neill passed away peacefully on May 20th, 1999 at her Sir William Hudson Memorial Centre Cooma,  aged 89 years.

            Floris is survived by her sister Sister Leonard  (Alice), and predeceased by brothers, Jack and Tom, and sisters Amy and Cathleen. 

            Floris lived for many years at “Sunnybrook”, Nimmitabel and looked after her aunt and her brother, until they retired to Cooma over 20 years ago.

            The O’Neill family is one of the pioneering families of the Monaro, and Floris was the last living member to live in this area.  Her older sister, Sister Leonard who is a Sister of Charity lives in retirement in Melbourne.

Floris will be sadly missed by all.
