The young girl is definitely identified by my aunty Marie as Eilleen Cawthorne, daughter of Rose Ellen Murphy and her husband Abel Cawthorne. I do not know for sure who the adults are but I think they are probably Murphys or Tyrie, James Hayler and Mary Murphy, Mary moved to Newcastle NSW to live with her husband James, and had 2 children , Nellie and Wilfred

thomas tyries conviction was theft, along with a fellow named george nisbet, comitted housebreaking they got through a window of peter cathie, wood merchant and stolesix quires of writing paper, black sealing wax, measuring lines and thick tallow candles, 2 pen knives, a great number of dominoes or counters, a great number of blank copper plate invoices of cathie &co.a penknife, with a buckhorn handle, another penknife,a large bunch of keys,a damask towel, and a white iron letter folder. they split the stuff up and thomas hid his stash, as he did not want to take it home to his fathers house. any way they got caught and you know the rest
