DANIEL³ MORTLOCK (THOMAS², WILLIAM¹) was born 15 January 1865 in Colington, reg. Cooma, NSW, and died 28 April 1911 in Cooma, NSW.  He married AMELIA BOWERMAN 1892 in Cooma NSW, daughter of RICHARD BOWERMAN and ESTHER SARAH SMITH.  She was born 1871 in Cooma, NSW, and died 1942 in Bathurst, NSW.

In 1865 Daniel was registered as 'Male' Mortlock. The inscription on Daniel's headstone at Bredbo Cemetery reads; In Sad but loving memory of My Dear Husband Daniel Mortlock, Died 28 April 1911, aged 46 years, Dear is the grave where my husband is laid, Sweet is the memory that never will fade, Roses may wither, Flowers Fade and die if others forget you, never will I. Dearly loved and Sadly missed.
