Emma, the second daughter of David and Elizabeth, married Alfred Frederick Goodsell Payne and resided in Bombala. They had five daughters and four sons.
One daughter, Annie Elizabeth b1858 was to marry Lewis Shannon in 1877, the son of one of the Monaro's prominent Jewish families. Lew was the Mayor of Cooma on a number of occassions. Annie and Lewis had three daughters and one son. Another daughter, Lucy b1860 married George Butler, of another prominent Monaro family, they had four sons.
Elizabeth b1868 married David Jeffrey in 1888. David owned a local bakery and along with his brother in law Lew, was also to become Mayor of Cooma.
Some of the daughters of Emma and Alfred married in to the Norris and Peaden families, and Emma Cella b1880 married Joseph Turnbull and resided in Eden where they had a newspaper.
